Farming

The agricultural land covers 3,250 hectares - Frijsenborg covers 1,250 hectares and Wedellsborg 2,000 hectares.
 

The two farms have the same production and organizational structure, employing a total staff of 15.
 

The quality of the land is very different on the two estates, and almost all types of soil are represented. At Wedellsborg the quality is primarily from medium to heavy clay soil. At Frijsenborg the soil quality is from light to medium heavy clay soil.

The main production is the cultivation of plants - primarily grain, but also seeds, beet, rape and peas. In addition, Frijsenborg has an annual production of about 650,000 chickens.

The basis of the production is modern, up-to-date machinery, which is constantly being improved and developed through an active investment policy.

As well as traditional farming, we rent out some of our farm buildings. In addition there is contractual work for external customers, e.g. snow clearing for councils and municipalities. We can also offer maintenance work for others.
